My Journey: The Science of Fitness (For the Nerd Brain)


I never trusted fitness advice that sounded like magic. "Do this, it works!" wasn't good enough. My brain craved the *why*—the underlying code. So, I started treating my body like a complex RPG character. Why do squats? They're not just "leg day"; they're the foundational code for standing up from a chair, a functional movement pattern governed by levers (bones), pulleys (tendons), and motors (muscles). Every exercise is a script that can be optimized. Understanding the biomechanics—how a hinge at the hip protects the spine, or how consistent low-impact movement regulates the body's internal inflammation variables—turned workouts from a chore into the ultimate engineering project: reverse-engineering my own health, one data-driven, evidence-based rep at a time.
